The first episode. "Le Radici del Futuro: dal Tessile al fintech" ('The roots of the future: from textiles to fintech').
"It's a story about water, mountains and valleys; current and countercurrent. A story of grown-up small villages and small entrepreneurs. A story about wool, wine and finance. But above all, it's a story of passion for innovation, propensity for a future to be drawn-up, every day, with an open mind and vision".
The second episode: 'Imprenditori banchieri (del futuro), ('Entrepreneurs: the bankers (of the future)).
The history and growth of Banca Sella are tied to some names that made the history of the financial industry in Italy. The first name is that of Gaudenzio Sella, who in 1886 was called by the family to found the institute. Then came Giorgio and Ernesto, who took over their father's legacy and gradually expanded the presence of the bank in Piedmont. They were followed by Maurizio, the current president of the Group, and finally Pietro, the Group's CEO.
The third episode. 'Openness, the secret of innovation'
For the Sella family, the concept of openness has always been the driving force behind the expansion of the company: from the wool mill to viticulture and on to banking. A pivotal value for a lineage of entrepreneurs that is closely rooted in its territory, however at the same time, historically oriented beyond its borders, whether it was textile machinery or computer networks. All the more so today, given the fundamental role of technology in the world of financial services
The fourth episode. 'Entrepreneurship is about governing technology'
Entrepreneurs are not born, they become entrepreneurs. Even in a family with a 450-year entrepreneurial history like the Sella family. It is essential to be curious about the world, looking ahead; keeping up with innovation, and when possible, to anticipate it by governing it, as it was the case with the digital transformation of Banca Sella.
The fifth episode. 'Values: the heart of a sustainable future'
If ambition, open-mindedness and curiosity for the new are needed to make a business grow, there can never be a lack of that set of values, intangible by definition, which form the foundations of a business and go by the name of ethics. Principles that do not appear in the balance sheet, but nevertheless carry considerable specific weight and are linked to concepts such as sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
