Mitigazione dei cambiamenti climatici, sostegno alle comunità e società inclusive, attenzione agli standard di vita e benessere adeguati. Sono questi gli obiettivi del fondo Investimenti Sostenibili di Sella Sgr, che raccoglie e pubblica annualmente i risultati raggiunti nel proprio Report di Impatto.

Il fondo è stato uno dei primi in Italia ad adottare questo strumento di informazione e trasparenza in grado di mostrare nel dettaglio i risultati raggiunti dal punto di vista ambientale e sociale grazie agli investimenti effettuati, attraverso un accurato processo di misurazione che li mette in relazione agli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile (SDGs) dell’Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite. Gli investimenti in portafoglio possono contribuire a tali obiettivi direttamente o indirettamente, realizzando in alcuni casi un impatto positivo misurabile numericamente, in altri un beneficio riscontrabile in maniera trasversale.

Nel 2023 il fondo Investimenti Sostenibili ha contribuito allo sviluppo sostenibile e all’utilizzo responsabile delle risorse focalizzandosi, in particolare, su tematiche ambientali, energie rinnovabili e riduzione degli sprechi di acqua; sui temi della salute e del benessere, sostenendo l’accesso ai trattamenti sanitari e all’istruzione; sul consumo responsabile, per ridurre l’emissione di CO2 nell’ambiente, diminuire l’utilizzo di energia, ripristinare e proteggere terreni e colture.

Nel dettaglio, nel corso dello scorso anno, gli investimenti effettuati dal fondo hanno generato i seguenti impatti in Italia e all’estero:

•   8.455 milioni di litri d’acqua risparmiati;
•   46.702 Megawattora generati da energie rinnovabili;
•   25.709 tonnellate di CO2 evitate;
•   1.690 Megawattora di consumi ridotti;
•   1.206 tonnellate di rifiuti evitate;
•   2.048 ettari di terreni ripristinati o protetti;
•   83.945 pazienti che hanno avuto accesso a cure e trattamenti sanitari;
•   804 studenti supportati e inseriti in programmi di istruzione di qualità;
•   44 nuovi posti di lavoro creati;
•   201 microprestiti emessi.

Con un portafoglio diversificato composto da circa 90 strumenti finanziari – tra obbligazioni, titoli azionari e fondi sostenibili – il fondo effettua investimenti mirati a supporto di progetti in ambito ESG, promossi da svariate società a livello globale.

Tra questi, ad esempio, la creazione di nuovi parchi eolici per favorire la decarbonizzazione, l’introduzione di bici cargo elettriche per le consegne di merci, iniziative per ridurre gli sprechi alimentari attraverso il riciclo e l’economia circolare, la promozione di pratiche sostenibili per la produzione etica di capi di abbigliamento e l’accesso all’assistenza sanitaria per le comunità meno abbienti.

“Nel contesto attuale è necessario essere consapevoli dell’importanza di rendere la finanza sempre più attenta alle esigenze delle comunità e del pianeta – ha commentato Mario Romano, Amministratore Delegato di Sella Sgr –. Con il nostro fondo Investimenti Sostenibili già nove anni fa abbiamo adottato una politica di investimento ad impatto che ci ha consentito di allineare la creazione di valore ambientale e sociale con l’obiettivo di un ritorno finanziario. Il Report di Impatto rappresenta per noi una forma di responsabilità nei confronti degli investitori che credono nella filosofia del fondo ed è anche lo strumento per comunicare che è possibile affrontare le sfide globali e contribuire positivamente a creare un futuro sostenibile per tutti”.

Avviato nel 1999 come fondo etico, Investimenti Sostenibili è diventato nel 2015 uno dei primi fondi comuni in Italia con una politica di investimento a impatto. Nel 2021 è stato classificato come prodotto finanziario che ha come obiettivo investimenti sostenibili, ai sensi dell’Art. 9 del Regolamento Europeo SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation).

Con la devoluzione annua di una quota del patrimonio di Investimenti Sostenibili, dalla nascita del fondo ad oggi ammontano a oltre 3,7 milioni di euro le risorse destinate a sostegno di numerosi progetti di sostenibilità in Italia e all’estero.
