Fabrick, realtà leader in Italia nell’Open Finance, ha finalizzato l’acquisizione del 75% di finAPI da SCHUFA Holding AG. FinAPI è uno dei principali player nel settore dell’Open Banking in Germania. L’operazione, autorizzata dalle autorità di vigilanza, amplia la prospettiva internazionale di Fabrick e abilita lo sviluppo di sinergie per l’innovazione dei pagamenti digitali in Europa.

La convergenza tra Fabrick e finAPI ha l’obiettivo di migliorare l’esperienza cliente nei pagamenti e nell’accesso ai dati finanziari, rendendola sempre più sicura, veloce e affidabile. In questo contesto, l’offerta congiunta delle due società metterà a disposizione delle imprese clienti una gamma più ampia di soluzioni. In particolare, i clienti di finAPI potranno trarre nuovo valore dall’ampio portafoglio di Fabrick.

Con questa operazione, Fabrick entra in mercati ad alto potenziale come Germania e Austria, che si aggiungono a Italia, Spagna e Regno Unito. Non solo rafforza così la propria presenza a livello europeo, ma conferma anche il suo DNA di ecosistema aperto, capace di crescere attraverso il confronto con contesti e culture differenti e lo scambio reciproco di know-how e competenze. Un patrimonio che arricchisce l’offerta complessiva a vantaggio delle imprese clienti e dei loro utenti finali, che possono così beneficiare di soluzioni sempre più efficaci, complete e in linea con le esigenze di un mercato in continua evoluzione.

Fabrick, con la sua piattaforma di Open Finance, attiva e orchestra soluzioni innovative lungo l’intera catena del valore dei pagamenti. Opera come abilitatore per banche, fintech e corporate, con l’obiettivo di ottimizzare l’esperienza del cliente finale, rendendola fluida e personalizzata. Con l’acquisizione di finAPI, oltre ad arricchirsi di competenze ed esperienza, si rafforza in un segmento strategico per il futuro come quello dei pagamenti A2A, diventando uno dei principali operatori europei per valore delle transazioni scambiate.

Fondata nel 2008 a Monaco di Baviera, finAPI è tra le realtà pioniere in Germania nei settori Open Banking, Data Intelligence, KYC e Pagamenti. L’azienda serve oltre 400 clienti – tra cui banche, assicurazioni, fintech, istituzioni finanziarie e software provider – operando non solo in Germania e Austria, ma anche in numerosi altri Paesi europei. Nel 2024 ha registrato un fatturato netto di 7 milioni di euro, gestendo oltre 5 miliardi di chiamate API e un volume complessivo di pagamenti account-to-account superiore a 70 miliardi di euro.

La Germania si conferma uno dei mercati più promettenti per l’Open Finance in Europa, grazie a solidi fondamentali economici, normativi e tecnologici. Secondo Grand View Research, il mercato dell’Open Banking tedesco valeva 1,7 miliardi di euro nel 2023 e potrebbe superare gli 8,6 miliardi entro il 2030, con un CAGR del 26%. Anche l’Embedded Finance è in forte crescita: stimato a 9,79 miliardi di dollari nel 2024, potrebbe raggiungere i 25,81 miliardi entro il 2029. L’adozione da parte dei consumatori è aumentata dal 2% al 13% tra il 2022 e il 2024, con il 14% dei consumatori e il 10% delle PMI che già utilizzano soluzioni di prestito integrate.

Con l’arrivo della direttiva PSD3, l’Europa si prepara a diventare il principale mercato globale per l’Open Finance. In questo contesto, la presenza sullo scenario europeo di operatori specializzati come Fabrick e finAPI favorisce l’evoluzione dell’Open Finance, promuovendo innovazione, efficienza e competitività.
