Apre al pubblico da lunedì 8 luglio al Palazzone di Biella, negli spazi espositivi di Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. in via dei Seminari, la mostra “Da Baj a Ziveri. Gli artisti della Collezione Sanguineti”, un progetto realizzato dalla Direzione Artistica di Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. in collaborazione con il Centro Studi Interuniversitario Edoardo Sanguineti e il Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Università degli Studi di Torino.

Attraverso una selezione di opere provenienti dalla collezione personale di uno dei maggiori intellettuali e poeti del secondo Novecento italiano, il visitatore può ripercorrere i profondi legami d’amicizia e le fertili collaborazioni di Edoardo Sanguineti con alcuni tra i più celebri artisti a lui contemporanei, tra cui Enrico Baj, Albino Galvano, Emanuele Luzzati, Ugo Nespolo, Mario Persico, Carol Rama, fino a Emilio Vedova e Guido Ziveri. Le opere sono volutamente state allestite in ordine alfabetico per autore, a richiamo dell’Alfabeto apocalittico, opera poetica di Sanguineti pubblicata nel 1982 e illustrata dall’amico Enrico Baj.

Gli artisti esposti hanno attraversato gli anni Cinquanta e Sessanta delle sperimentazioni e della nascita delle avanguardie e hanno conosciuto e frequentato, in questo contesto, Edoardo Sanguineti, appassionato interprete dello stesso movimento. Essi rappresentano il puro gusto del collezionista che li ha accolti e raccolti, accostando ad ognuno di loro pensieri e parole. La sequenza alfabetica voluta dai curatori suggerisce analogie e corrispondenze ed è sembrata una buona soluzione per raccontare l’accostamento e la moltitudine dei linguaggi espressivi che compongono questa particolare collezione. Ognuna delle quattro sale espositive, accanto alle opere e in dialogo con queste, presenta citazioni tratte da riflessioni, articoli o poesie di Sanguineti. La mostra è dunque una narrazione composta da codici diversi: arte figurativa, materiali e stili eterogenei, parola scritta e sculture, in nome di quell’assemblage caro ai maestri dell’avanguardia e a Sanguineti stesso.

L’evento si inserisce nell’ambito delle attività culturali del Palazzone, sede biellese di Banca Patrimoni Sella & C., che dopo aver aperto i suoi spazi espositivi esterni nel 2022 in occasione dei 250 anni della fondazione della Diocesi di Biella, apre ora al pubblico anche gli spazi interni al piano terra dello storico edificio.
