Con l’iniziativa il gruppo Sella ha partecipato per il terzo anno consecutivo all’iniziativa organizzata da Legambiente, nell’ambito della campagna mondiale “Clean up the World”. I volontari hanno raccolto rifiuti in parchi, giardini e spiagge in 9 citta: Biella, Genova, Lecce, Milano, Modena, Napoli, Palermo, Roma e Torino

Una mattinata dedicata all’ambiente, per prendersi cura attivamente della città dove si vive e si lavora. Sabato 28 settembre più di 700 dipendenti del gruppo Sella, insieme ai loro familiari, hanno partecipato al “Volunteer Day” e per il terzo anno consecutivo hanno contribuito all’iniziativa “Puliamo il Mondo”, la campagna di volontariato organizzata da Legambiente per contrastare i rifiuti abbandonati, con l’obiettivo di diffondere una maggiore consapevolezza sui temi della sostenibilità.

 


I numerosi partecipanti si sono dedicati alla raccolta di rifiuti in parchi, giardini, piazze e spiagge di Biella, Genova, Lecce, Milano, Modena, Napoli, Palermo, Roma e Torino. Dopo un briefing dello staff di Legambiente sulle attività da svolgere nella mattinata, i volontari hanno iniziato le operazioni di pulizia con guanti, sacchi e altre attrezzature necessarie.

Tutti i rifiuti raccolti e le attività svolte verranno misurati e registrati nella “carta di identità del volontariato aziendale”, un riconoscimento per le imprese che aderiscono alle iniziative di riqualificazione dei territori. In questo modo, Legambiente potrà certificare il tempo, l’impegno e i risultati dell’attività, e il suo contributo al raggiungimento dei 17 obiettivi dell'Agenda 2030 per lo sviluppo sostenibile.

Lo scorso anno nelle 9 città coinvolte sono stati rimossi complessivamente oltre 600 chilogrammi di rifiuti.

L’evento fa parte dell’edizione italiana, promossa da Legambiente, di “Clean up the World”, il più grande appuntamento di volontariato ambientale del mondo per rendere le città più pulite, belle, vivibili e lanciare un messaggio concreto verso un futuro sostenibile.
