Ripensare gli spazi che abitiamo partendo dal recupero di ciò che ci circonda. Limitare gli sprechi, valorizzare l’esistente, farne nuova vita. Tutto questo è Sella Volunteer Day 2025, iniziativa di volontariato aziendale giunta alla sua quarta edizione promossa da Sella e realizzata con Legambiente insieme a tutte le società del Gruppo. L’evento diffuso di sabato 27 settembre in varie città italiane – Biella, Torino, Aosta, Padova, Roma, Napoli e Bari – ha permesso di dare nuova vita a beni comuni all’interno di parchi e aree verdi. Al Sella Volunteer Day 2025 hanno partecipato centinata di iscritti tra persone del team Sella e familiari. Insieme per un’attività di economia circolare. Obiettivo: recuperare, rigenerare e restituire valore. Perché costruire un futuro migliore significa prendersi cura del presente. Non solo gesto solidale, ma scelta strategica. Perché rigenerare spazi, recuperare materiali, praticare upcycling e recycling significa rafforzare la comunità e allo stesso tempo innovare il modo stesso di fare impresa.

Evolve così il volontariato aziendale: valore al tempo unitamente all’idea di recupero. “Il volontariato aziendale non è periferico; è una via fondamentale attraverso cui i dipendenti connettono i propri valori personali alla vita professionale”, così afferma Jessica Rodell dell’University of Georgia e una delle studiose più autorevoli sul tema. Nel suo articolo Corporate volunteering and employee engagement mostra come il volontariato aziendale rafforzi l’identificazione con l’organizzazione e la motivazione dei dipendenti. “Quando le persone donano tempo ed energie, costruiscono reti di fiducia che rafforzano sia la comunità sia la performance dell’organizzazione”. È il mantra di Adam Grant della Wharton School - University of Pennsylvania.
